Which languages the California DMV written test comes in

The California Driver’s Handbook is published in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Russian, Armenian, Hindi and Punjabi, and the DMV’s sample Class C tests come in English, Spanish, Armenian, Chinese, Farsi, Punjabi, Russian, Tagalog, Vietnamese and American Sign Language. If you read one of these languages better than English, you can prepare in it.

The motorcycle and commercial sample tests are published in English only.

On this site

The Class C questions are available in all eight languages of the handbook, with the handbook page linked from every answer. For the motorcycle, commercial, RV and firearm tests the study material is translated, and the practice exam follows the language of the real test: where the real test is English only, so is the practice exam, and the page says so.

One caution. Where a translated handbook and the English one disagree, the English handbook is the one the test follows. The questions here are written from the English handbook and translated, for that reason.
