Russian is one of the languages the California DMV supports for the Class C test. The California Driver’s Handbook is published in Russian, and the DMV’s own sample knowledge tests come in Russian, next to English, Spanish, Armenian, Chinese, Farsi, Punjabi, Tagalog and Vietnamese. The format is the same as in English: multiple choice, three answer choices, 80 percent to pass, three attempts on one application.
What is in Russian on this site
- The Class C test: all 1,031 questions in Russian, by handbook section, with the practice exam in Russian too. Every answer links to the section of the handbook it comes from.
- The CDL tests: all 2,396 questions in Russian across the eight commercial tests.
- The motorcycle, trailer and firearm safety material is translated for study. Where the real test is given only in English, the practice exam here is in English as well, and the page says so.
One caution
Where the Russian handbook and the English one disagree, the English text is the one the test follows. The questions here are written from the English handbook and translated, so the facts match the test. Official terms are kept the way the Russian handbook writes them.
